iTRITON NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ONLINE TRAINING

To help guide you through the adventure ahead, we have created an online training that will map out your journey as an international student here at UC San Diego. There are 8 modules which cover various topics. We have arranged these modules in the order you may encounter them during your program. Pay close attention as these caution modules demonstrate some of the top issues international students face with their immigration status.  

Newly admitted international students are required to access the iTriton Online Training during their first quarter at UC San Diego. 

All new students begining their programs in Spring 2024 have until April 1, 2024 to complete this REQUIRED orientation.

Accessing iTriton

*Please note that in the iTriton training, immigration regulations are only applicable once you enter the United States in F1/J1 status. 

How to access iTriton:

  1. Check your email for an invitation from Canvas to join the iTriton Training. Students must accept the course invitation to participate in the course. Until the user accepts the course invitation, the user's status will display as pending. 
    1. Email iPrograms@ucsd.edu if you did not receive an email from Canvas or if you are having trouble accessing the course.
  2. Log into Canvas using Single Sign-On 
  3. Review modules & participate in discussions
