NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENT

WINTER 2023 ORIENTATION

 

The International Students & Programs Office (ISPO) is so excited to welcome you to UC San Diego! As a newly admitted international student, you are required to attend New International Student Orientation designed to help orient you to the UC San Diego campus community, inform you of your F1/J1 Rights & Responsibilities, and give you an opportunity to connect with other new international students!

  • *Attending ISPO’s orientation is required in addition to any of your college or department orientations (NOTE: UCEAP students are not required to attend their college orientation).

 


WHEN IS ORIENTATION? 

For students beginning their program in Winter 2023, here are the important dates below:
  • January 4, 2023: Deadline to complete iTriton Online Training for ALL students.
  • January 11, 2023 at 5pm PT: Virtual Orientation Session for EAP-Reciprocity students - Register Now
  • January 12, 2023 at 12pm PT: Virtual Orientation Session for F-1 students - Register Now

Social Events

A big part of orientation is meeting new people! Register now for these social events:

  • January 12, 2023 at 2pm PT: Intercultural Social Hour w/ an EAP Spotlight (In-Person) -  Register via iEvents Calendar 
  • January 18, 2023 at 10am PT: ISPO Coffee Hour (All Students) - Register via iEvents Calendar [coming soon]

  • Pre-Arrival Webinars 2022
    • Webinars created by ISPO and campus partners that cover topics such as student health, housing, funding, and more!

iTriton Online Training (Mandatory)

Newly admitted international students are required to complete the iTriton Online Training during their first quarter at UC San Diego.
